Radio Silence--but Still Hooking

I haven't had much time to catalog my thoughts and blog about things I've worked on. I've worked on a few sweaters and such...

The bottom photos are of a hairpin lace project I am working on. I got a few pointers from a friend, and will be constructing a custom sized duplicate of a sample cardigan in her shop, which she designed. I'm looking forward to the next step which will be next week, when I learn how to do the joins, and get more crucial information on the pattern at hand.

I saw this in a shop window not long ago, and thought how lovely, and maybe once I know some more of the fundamentals, I'll be able to MacGuyver one of these for myself.
