Sunday Photo Dump

The great archeological dig of the Pompeii Room continues.

I've got no fewer than 10 parcels
at the ready to "go postal."

And on another front, a few things were received
yesterday from AC Moore:

One pound of caning reeds, with which I
intend on tinkering;
Some Superwash Cashmere Merino
currently and quickly being hooked
into a chemo cap for a friend; And last thing in the photo dump (at the moment)
is this sun and moon granny square motif, worked
freehand. I think I might nixe the yoyos and
go in a different direction with what comes
next on this square.

The Pompeii Room: Photo Dumpin' It

Believe it or not, I'm *STILL* working on organizing my

"Pompeii Room" (spare bedroom/den/office/studio),

so I figured to keep myself motivated, I'd snap

pictures of things I've discovered (long forgot about).

Some of these things have been added

to my projects and stash section over at

"That Knitting Site."

First up is a Chunky Floral Lace Scarf which
I worked in Sheep Shop #2.
The scarf consumed nearly 2 skeins.
I just love the variegation, and am

going to seriously miss this yarn, given

that it went out of business in 2009.

Fortunately, I've got a few skeins

to soften the blow.

Here's the remainder of the second skein of
Sheep Shop #2.

And here's a skein of #2 in orange, and next to
the little remnant I have left, it looks like
they could be great companion yarns
in a small project.

And this one right here is Sheep Shop #1,
which I think is closer to a worsted rather than
a chunky (or is it merely chunky and the
other two were SUPER chunky?).

The Pompeii Room: Two Weeks Ago

Lost track of time and the fact that I did snap photos of my den/craft room/home office, as I usually do as an incentive and a reference point for me once I've gotten it under control. Keeping the clutter under control is a full time job, kind of like trying to slay a firey dragon while soaked in gasoline. Anyway, here's why I call it the Pompeii room (it's layers of stuff as opposed to layers of volcanic ash):

Status Report: craft studio, home office, spare bed room "Den of Iniquity":

As of 2:17 a.m. today here is my progress

Notice you can see carpet now!

You can see duvet cover and pillows!

I think this is about as good as it's going to get.

Appraisers are due here in little more than 7.5 hours.

I'm fried.

And I doubt I'll be making my trek to Jersey today.

Extreme fatigue + Jersey Shore Memorial Day Traffic = Formula for disaster.

I can plan on coming down on a less hectic weekend.

Oy... the dreaded call to be made, disappointing everyone.

A View

Tinkering today with something which has been languishing on one of my knitting looms.

Perhaps today I'll crochet the bottom closed dand work on either crocheting or loom knitting two floppy ears and some limbs. Maybe even a scrap poncho for it and a technicolor fuzzy tail? Aromatherapy it too?

It's enough I got it off the loom and stuffed today, isn't it?

I do have a hot bath on the agenda, and perhaps head out later for a professional pedicure.

Well one less thing sitting on the daybed in my den... I no sooner get my den cleaned and the mess just keeps reappearing...
