Oya Inspiration Piece

of the elements, I'm not sure of how to start
the edging.

When I'm feeling a bit better (still
suffering the after-effects of my
bout w/pneumonia), I'd like
to try my hand at reverse engineering

In the Works: Calavera

Just a note that tho I got the inspiration to needle felt a cavalera too late for me to use it as part of a dia de los muertos altar scene, I am thinking of tinkering further with the idea, and thinking of observing the holiday, in an exoteric, secular sense.

I've done an unadorned, flat, cavalera, and I might end up adorning it, and quite possibly advance to a 3D sculpture/scene.

Inspiration Piece: Reverse Engineer Quilt to Crochet

I saw this in the newest Clothilde catalog, and I could have sworn I heard "BOING!" when the "lightbulb" went off in my head. I can SOOOO totally see myself reverse engineering this quilt motif into a tunisian square motif... standby!

As if I don't have enough things to work on at the moment, I can't stand the suspense of mapping out and hooking up a prototype!

Inspiration Piece: Gnome-nclature!

I saw this over on Ravelry, by user name SpillyJane. I just love gnomes (no, please, don't send me any! Seriously!*), and love the colorwork in this design.

I also love granny squares and the first thing that bubbled up from my brain was a gnome granny (square). I also could tinker around with colorwork, too. But I think I'll try the granny square first.

Looks like the centers are the bottoms of (drink) cans, and the frill
